Can anyone tell us what this flower is. I thought an African Daisy variety? It is growing in a pot in full sun, Atlanta Ga, in April. Do not know the leaf structure. Just have this pic from a friend. He said it is "kind of a bush"....Thanks!

Georgia has several dahlias- southern ones are more heat tolerant, they also have a Dahlia Society and that deep a purple is gorgeous. Alta is best at naming cultivars,

Please ask for more photos - the leaves, overall plant.
Edit: I agree with Osteospermum, likely, if no more photos are forthcoming. It's a bit of an odd flower form with the disc florets.
