I looked through all my notes = nothing. I Googled = nothing. I searched Dave's = nothing. I have some nice looking small shrubs that I planted a few years ago. Want to get some more of them. Variegated (green/white) leaves, orange flowers, loves shade. Does spread on its own but not fast enough for me. Hardy in my zone (5a.) I know your gonna say a pix or 3 would be nice but I could not find any old pix and they have not leafed out yet this Spring. yet. Any help is appreciated. Gene
Variegated shrub ID please.
Said before and often: many of us don't need leaves.
Take some good clear pix of the whole plants where they are growing, and then some closeups of the branches, twigs, and buds. Clip a branch off if they aren't in closeup photo territory, and take good pics of the closeups on your countertop, driveway, or sidewalk.
Though - variegated foliage and orange flowers in WI shade should narrow the field a bit. Opposite v. alternate?
I'm game to leap off the cliff: one of the Kerria japonica clones?
It appears that whiz VV got it right again - looks like you've got a Kerria japonica variegata.
!!!
Yes, indeed. Name seems to ring a bell. Thanks much. Gene
