My blooms so far this year! I also have a blue passion flower vine heavy with buds and my baby yesterday, today and tomorrow tree is starting to bloom too!

only had time for one pic today. since one of my dogs ate my computer mouse a couple of days ago, it is probably best that I only took one pic. I am mouse-dependent!

I picked up this iris from a "Free to Good Home" box on the yard of a neighbor. It blooms every other year.

One of my Louisiana irises, a handful of my poppies, not a flower but I love my bunny tail grass. And the bottle brush is exploding with blooms.

vossner - I will check with my neighbor...she gave us some when she was thinning hers years ago. And this purple one is from her grandmother, and it's fragrant....smells soo good.

Morgan, I don't know why it does that, but that seems to be the pattern with this one.
I sure hope my blue Iris that is blooming for the first time, doesn't wait two more years, I will be sad.
Can you tell me what this is? A friend saw it in a ditch and I had no clue.

And last, but certainly not least are my amaryllises. I don't know why, it started as a game, but I group them by color and after a few years I have some dramatic vignettes. A section that has nothing but orange flowers has a lot of orange amaryllises and it gets people to stop.

This is something I haven't seen before, the Justicia spicigera is going to seed. Hundreds of pods. I'm going to be in trouble if I don't start cutting the tops? Anyone have experience with this?
It is in its third season in my garden, have noticed no seeds. So far doesn't seem to be a rampant grower, just normal. Like everything else, they are loving the above average rainfall.
I think this is around 5 years. If these seeds are good, it will be an epic invasion.
vossner - I checked with my neighbor on the Iris name and she has always known it as Grandma's Purple Iris....LOL. Not that you need any more......lovely blooms friend!

Cassandra - pretty flowers.....I used to see that yellow flower all over California when we lived there....a type of Iris (I think) but with bushy grass like leaves. Bi-color Iris?
