Are all Passion Flower fruit edible?

Bay Area, CA(Zone 10a)

I know that many Passiflora types are grown for their fruit. But I have a Passiflora Lavender Lady and a Passiflora Lady Margaret. Are their fruits edible, too? Also, what is a list of Passiflora that have tasty fruit?

Thanks!

Hmmm, the native passi was used as flour, tea, fruits, bland to me. I think there are over 400 varieties of passi and maybe only 50? have edible fruit. I do not know which they are tho

bfreiberg, you have the right question with 'which are tasty'. A lot of plants are written about as edible but aren't all that tasty (else we'd eat them).

Might be able to grow from seed if you can find fruit in a store
