Hi There!
Im on holiday in the south of france at the moment and found this spider on a door leading to a swimming pool storage room. I just wondered if anybody knows what it is? Its abdomen is quite soft looking with 4 dimples.
Can anybody help?!

This looks like a huntsman/giant crab spider (family Sparassidae) - see http://arachno.piwigo.com/picture?/4180/category/517-olios_argelasius for an example. The 'dimples' on its abdomen indicate where internal invaginations of the exoskelton are located; these serve as muscle attachments.
