Odd Bedroom Insect! No legs?

Boise, ID

Forgive the crude drawing, I am not an artist. I saw this bug when I came home from work. Like an idiot, I didn't think to take a picture, and by the time my wife got home, it was gone.

The best way I can describe it is that it had an elongated main body with no legs. I feel like I remember a small head, but I am not positive! The oddest feature was some kind of leg/pulley extremity that it seemed to hang from/use to move with.I never saw it move myself, but by the time I would check on it it would be slightly higher up on the window where it was "crawling" on.

My first thought was that this could be a huge tick, but the body shape was too narrow and long to make sense, not to mention the odd appendage it was using to drag itself with. I don't have any pets and our home is fairly clean considering I am a neat freak.

I hope someone can help me with an ID since my wife refuses to sleep tonight unless we figure out what it was! :(

Did it look anything at all like this?

I have the same bug as 'weirdbugguy', except mine has a cool pattern on it's 'shell'. As best I can tell, it looks like the picture you replied with. Is there any info on this little guy? I've been seeing them in my bathroom a lot and curious about them.

Your image does look like a household casebearer - see http://nathistoc.bio.uci.edu/lepidopt/Tineidae/Phereoeca.htm
These appear to feed primarily on old spider webs and the like, but occasionally may damage fabrics made with organic (wool, silk, etc.) materials...
