hi~ first post, so sorry if i'm doing it wrong :) i am getting ready to move and want to take my 4 year old Vitex agnus-castus (grown from seed) with me. i pruned it at the end of last year, so it is nice and tidy with only a few main branches about 2-3' tall. the plan was to dig it up while it was dormant, and put it in a pot for the cross-country move. of course, it has been in the 90's off and on here in southern CA for the past month, and said tree has beat me to the punch and is beginning to leaf out already. will it just up and die if i dig it up at this point? this tree has proven to be really hardy, so i suspect it will survive, but if anyone has any advice as to how to increase my chances of success, i'd appreciate it greatly.
thanks!
