Found this cute little guy jumping around near a liquor store in Los Angeles. Does anyone know who he is exactly?
CLOSED: jumping spider John Doe
He is really cute. Unfortunately I can't ID him/her for you, but I do want to welcome you to Dave's Garden on your first day. Someone, likely Flapdoodle, will be along to help you out. Thanks for posting a really fun critter as your first post. Again, welcome.
awesome jumping spider! I often find some kind of jumping spider roaming my deck. They 'seem' friendly, I suppose it just suits their habits. It's fun how they will look at you.

Phidippus audax--maybe
Sally, you're giving me deja vu.
sorry D, in going (dare I say, jumping) from various tabs, I got sloppy!
Looks almost the same! Close enough, thanks a lot!
Phidippus audax (aka the bold or daring jumper, is one of the commoner/widespread species in North America. It can appear in several different color patterns - see http://www.austinbug.com/salticidae.html for some examples...
Great links, now I want one of every color :)
