I am unsure of what to do with my big Travelers Palm after we had a real hard freeze a few weeks ago. Any suggestions?
Travelers Palm FROZE!
As a fellow Floridian, I truly hate hearing such stories. Did it survive? Maybe, and maybe not. You would have to remove the parts of the plant that have been damaged by the hard frost. That will leave you with a pitiful specimen. You could check the plant's center to see if it is still green and alive. If it is, odds are it will grow new fronds. It probably didn't freeze to the core. They don't often see frost in Madagascar.
I wish you both the best of luck.
Sylvain.
