I bought my first hydrangeas since moving to Florida. I have them in pots on the west side of my south facing porch. It's been 14 years, but the hydrangeas I had in Seattle seemed to bloom all summer long without clipping. The blooms on these 2 plants seem to wither and wilt after about 2-3 weeks and the leaves are a bit curled and brown on a few. What do I do with the wilted blooms and the curled leaves. And will more blooms come throughout the summer?
Merritts Supreme Hydrangea
You could remove the marred blooms and leaves. I also had hydrangeas in Seattle and they were gorgeous and big (both the plants and the blooms). Here I've had little luck with them. I think they get too dry during the summer months.
