Need to do a blind sniff test on a variety of conifers...

Eau Claire, WI(Zone 4a)

I've been waiting for a technological breakthrough on computerized sniff tests. I'm sure it's just around the corner...

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Ditto to Tsuga canadensis.

They don't have any resinous scent, that must be coming from something else?

Resin

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Only green stuff around. Maybe I am just sensitive to their smell, but I would have sworn pine by smell. A dense fresh smell of pine. It smelled awesome. Thanx guys- I always knew my sense of smell was diff than most- first hint was when someone told me deer piss has no odor. Whew ammonia! Hemlock was the last answer I had expected, chuckl
