Impressive trees, I had heard of some of these but never had the pleasure of seeing them until viewing your link. Thanks for sharing.

I had no idea Desert Roses grew so tall !

Lake Stevens, WA(Zone 8a)

I would love to see Desert Roses (Adenium) in habitat, but have zero desire to go to that part of Africa. It just seems too dangerous and I would not feel welcome. However, there is always Google images.
My Adenium is 12" tall now. I think I will go fertilize it. I think of it as a houseplant, but really it is a caged and stunted tree and belongs in this forum.
Suggestion: Google Socotra trees for a walk on the weird side. But Socotra is in perhaps the most dangerous place on Earth right now, so we can't go there. I haven't seen the movie "Captain Phillips" but it's on my Netflix list.

Her trees and photographs are crazy beautiful, thanks for sharing.

Yes, thanks!
I've been trying to nurse back to health an Adenium that a daughter left in our house. Yours looks beautiful, Pistil; mine looks pathetic. I think I'll finally get around to re-potting it; it would take minutes to do but has taken me probably a decade to get around to!

Lake Stevens, WA(Zone 8a)

Well, mine is pathetic now too, that photo is from last year. I got it because I assumed, since it stored water in the trunk, it would have low watering needs and thus fit in well with my group of houseplants that tolerate neglectful watering. Sadly, it is among the thirstiest of my plants. If it were the slightest bit thirstier it would die. I am the same about re-potting, but plan to do a lot of plants this spring. I console myself about the Adenium with thoughts of interesting stunted bonsai, and pretend I am doing this on purpose.

I'm pretty sure that violates a handful of Geneva Conventions...

Quote from Pistil :

As you watch that movie Pistil, remember the famous Navy Seal quote…"Not only will we shoot you dead from the fantail of a destroyer while you are in a life raft on choppy seas….but we will do it at night…on Easter Sunday."

It was a good movie.

You guys crack me up!
If Plant Amnesty sent people here they might have to rescue a lot of plants. Maybe they would just picket my house. Maybe they would bring buckets of water in August.

Thanks for sharing the pics. They are a real antidote for cabin fever this winter!
