CLOSED: Grasshopper nymph or ?

Colima, Mexico(Zone 11)

Is this some kind of grasshopper nymph? Or something else? I looked through images of grasshopper nymphs but didn't find anything similar. Also don't know if that is a single red eye or if there are two eyes. I went back to investigate and now can't find the little guy. I am curious about this one because it is new to me. It was on a Cestrum nocturnum plant.

Looks like a katydid. Someone with more expertise will no doubt be along to give a more specific ID.

Definitely in the subfamily Tettigoniinae that includes katydids; it resembles a bush katydid (genus Scudderia - see http://insect-collector.blogspot.com/2009/02/tettigoniidae.html for an example), but I'm a bit puzzled by the shape of its ovipositor. All Scudderia that I am familiar with have an ovipositor with a rounded tip, but yours appears to have a pointed one - perhaps the tip is partially screened by the wings...

Thank you green and Flap :). I will see what i can find out about about the Scudderia and think i'll start with Scudderia mexicana. Katydids are no strangers to the garden, but i've never seen such a small/young one before.
