Hi I just found this in my room here in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. Apologies for the poor photo. It looked kind of like a scorpion but only had a fine needle type tail. It had mandibles though that were very similar to scorpions. I was about 2 inches in length.
Not a spider, but another type of arachnid known as a vinegaroon or whip scorpion -
