CLOSED: House Insect

Kingston, Canada

Hello All,

This is my first post. I am posting as I see insects on a daily basis, and most of the time I never know what I am looking at. Time for me to start learning!

This little one appeared one day in out bathroom here in Ontario Canada. For about 3 weeks he/she would be found in a different place in our bathroom(usually near a water) around the sink or edges in the shower. I would always move "charlie" to a place he wouldn't be washed away.....until one day he was.

Can anyone help with an ID?
Thanks so much.

That looks to me like one of the Assassin Bugs from the family Reduviidae

It's a long-necked seed bug in the family Rhyparochromidae ('dirt colored seed bugs') - http://livingwithinsects.wordpress.com/2012/08/22/long-necked-seed-bug/

Thanks so much!
Very much appreciated. Long Necked Seed bug sounds nicer than an assassin!
