8th Annual Dg Christmas workshop-Snowman floorcloth
Feeling sad, here I have next year's project and hardly a floorcloth done, perhaps it wasn't to everyone's liking???
Since I didn't do one I can't say, but I really liked the looks of it. I just didn't have the time to do one, this year. I have enjoyed watching the thread very much, Betty.
Hang in there. I am sure they will get done. Seems like a lot of people had an awful lot going on. Yourself included, not all of us are such a dynamo as you are. You can get more done than anyone I have ever seen! lol You are like the "Energizer Bunny" of Projects.
I have not done mine, yet. I am anxiously waiting to be healthy enough to do it. Can't paint when I'm coughing.
Hang in there Betty. They will get to them.
I had to put mine away, it's almost finished but the table I was working off was needed for our group party and now Christmas decorating, partying, shopping and wrapping is in full swing so no time to finish it right now as the table has been claimed by the elf in Wrap Central. Hoping to find few hours right before Christmas to complete it
.
betty i have had no time,
its ready to start i only get one day off and my family makes me guilty to go see them.
im ready to run away lol
Big sigh, life does indeed get in the way, perhaps we can do Christmas in July and that way most will be looking for something to do and not be under stress
That would be a great time!!!! We could work it in between your travels!!! LOL I must admit, it sounds good to me!!!!
while lights and supplies are available I'll pick up enough for maybe 15..if I don't use them then I'll do them up as gifts
Great way to cool down in July - snowmen!!!!!!
Maybe that is why they have "Christmas in July" craft sales?
I'd really like the craft list for the snowman lights so I could buy them here. It will give me time to find someone to drill the block locally!
I WILL get mine done but I have determined to paint "Let it Snow" so I can have a longer period to have it out rather than just Christmas.
My stepdaughter and husband are here, she let me know she would be here LATE Friday or Saturday. I took off part of Friday afternoon, finished putting up the tree and when they didn't arrive until Sat at 6PM, I had also managed to get all the guest room art up on the wall. I hope to have pictures for you later today after they have left and I have got fresh sheets on the bed and ready for the NEXT company, my BF Paula. She has 3 weeks here in WA.
I got a tiny little tree skirt made for my DIL for her 3 foot tree.
Not a whole lot..big lots had the small battery operated light, that would be a good think to go in search of, likely michaels as well
Dollar store for those of you in the north..red ,gloves or mitts, scarf and toque
I ordered a die from accu quilt re snowflakes so they will not be a problem

I am better Betty, Thanks. Almost got my voice back and not near;y as congested.
Glad to hear your feeling better Jean.
Also check places like a habit for humanity restore.
Thanks LK...and also thanks for the card. So very kind of you.
Habitat Restore is a great place to get small hardware....Hinges, knobs, drawer pulls. We bought a perfect condition storm door for $15.
Your welcome Jean.
Thanks Jean for the links, restore here are putting up their prices, almost as expensive as home depot.
I'd buy bulk then do the holes
Hobby lobby had some with large holes in the back, not sure but think $10 and maybe if you look from time to time they might be on sale
That's good thought. HL also has coupons for sales so that might be a great way to pick them up.
YIKES... daughter & husband left, but not before son's friend & other on came to play some RPG, and then Ben's brother and wife came... I need to finish the last of the clean up.
I saw some listed that were acrylic. Would they be any lighter? Seems the glass block would be expensive to mail.
Think acrylic wouldn't take the paint
Ah I wondered about that.
When I'm stateside I will check out michaels and hobby lobby
For anyone interested, there is a thread for sharing recipes and chat. Come and check it out.

I just got a gift certificate to Michaels so you know that is one place I'll be making purchases!
