Cockroach?

Hello,

I was out for a walk today and came across this cockroach looking bug. Just wondering what it is.

I found it in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia if that helps.

It is indeed a cockroach; there are species in at least three genera that can have an appearance similar to yours; see https://www.tumblr.com/search/Botany+Bay+Cockroach for one example...
