Does anyone know this type of bug and how to get rid of it?

Santa Ana, CA

So thousands of this little bugs appeared on my driveway and garden this morning. They are able to jump but seem bigger then flees. They also kind of smell bad. Anyone have any idea what type of bugs they might be and how to get rid of them.
PS Yesterday and today has been raining if that plays a factor in the bugs coming out.
Thank you in advance

Your images are none too clear, but these most likely are springtails, primitive arthropods in the order Collembola. They are dependent on abundant moisture in order to thrive, so once it dries out, they should pretty much disappear. Ones like these are harmless scavengers on decomposing organic matter; no control measures are necessary.

Probably springtails. I had a pretty big issue with them one summer at my house and this site helped me identify them. They were coming into my basement from under my deck. Since they weren't harming anything I crossed my fingers and hoped they'd vanish on their own. Without thinking about it I dug a trench across my backyard a few years back to route all the water that runs down the hillside I live on away from my backyard and house (I did this so my backyard wouldn't be muddy all the time). It worked like a charm and also got rid of the springtails. I guess they didn't like that I took away their wet and shady area under my porch...:)
