We're Cooped - Up Now!

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Snow ~ Snow ~ Snow....... Dave here we are all cooped up in the house while the stormy blizzard rages outside. We've gotten 18 inches of snow since yesterday and still going strong with 40 mile winds. The weather man says it's just gonna sit on us for a while. On a cheery note ~ I got to play hooky from work last night! I stayed up late packing surprise seed envelopes, 15+ in all. I doubt I'll see the mail carrier today to mail them. I sure wish spring would hurry up and get here. Would someone send some warm sunshine our way ~ Please?!!

Great list, Dave! Boy, you've really been busy!!! You'll like the taste of German tomato. It's very mild and sweet. I grew it last year. I'm growing Arkansas Traveler, Brandywine, Cherokee Purple, and Garden Peach, too. I can't wait to taste Garden Peach. It sounds really interesting. :)

Poppysue so sorry you got "dumped" on. Is it over now? How much snow did you get? We were going to go up to check on our camp in a week or two but afraid with all the snow we wouldn't be able to get to the camp...probably not at least until sometime in April. Last time I spoke to my mother in Belgrade, she said "with all this snow, we won't see spring til August!!!" LOL, LOL. That was a week ago, she's probably really fumed now.
Stay Warm!!! Play in the dirt!!! Sending sunshine your way!!

How did you get off so lightly,

Hey you guys ..... I got the sunshine today!! Thanks for sending it!! That USPS IS amazing! The snow's all cleaned up and the sky is sunny & blue. It's been a long time since I've seen snow banks this tall ~ I said that the last storm we had but this time I really mean it!

Byron - you must of been right at the heart of the storm. The drifts are what's made it so bad. We had about 4 feet blown up against the garage and couldn't get the door open. ~ It stinks being so close to spring. I know they were talking about another one that's coming on Friday but I haven't heard the latest. Maybe it will be all rain -- I hope.
