I saw this in Northwest Missouri around late spring/early summer. Anyone able to identify? It was about the size of a US Nickel.

Who knows this beetle?
Focus is poor, it may be a Rainbow Scarab Beetle, but Flapdoodle will check in at some point.
It certainly does appear to be a rainbow scarab in the genus Phanaeus, and based on your geographic location, most likely Phanaeus vindex -
