Can anyone help me identify this plant and what I need to do to help it along (yellowing leaves)? Thank you!
houseplant needs help
A larger picture will help in the future. It is an Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen). Remove the yellow leaves any time you feel like it - it will not hurt the plant at all. Yellow leaves are perfectly normal for all plants as they age.
I think it needs repotting in a bigger pot, but it might be best to wait for spring to do it.
