Found this spider spinning its web on its prey on a Prosopis juliflora plant in Tirunelveli, India. Date: October 22, 2014. Could someone please identify this spider? Thank you.

It's an orb weaver in the genus Argiope, maybe Argiope anasuja - see http://www.treknature.com/gallery/Asia/India/photo293419.htm
