I am living in the UK (London) and found this spider inside my house near the front door where the shoes are kept. It's brown with lighter markings on its rear body. I thought it could be a false widow spider. When walking, it's length is around the same as a keyboard key, from the end of its front legs to its hind legs.
Anyone know?
What spider is this?
Although this spider appears to be in the same family (Theridiidae) as the false widow spiders, It likely is something different, as I have not seen false widows with such markedly striped legs...
Flapdoodle? Could it be a Theridion murarium?
That's just my wild guess but the rear body seems to be hairless, and more polished on the spider i found
