This little bug was was trying to eat my leg with his grand pincers, I had never seen one of these before so I took a photo (as good as my iphone could) of it on the bottom of a 4" pot. I hope the pic is good enough for an id.
Lacewing Larvae?
I posted a picture of a similar creature and they said it was a Lacewing Larvae....I think it is the same as what I posted a few days ago.
Thanks Heather, it does look very similar to your pic. I just had to know if it's friend or foe.
It is indeed a lacewing larva - for some undetermined reason, they often will 'sample' human skin if they find themselves on it, but their bite is harmless...
Thanks again Flapdoodle...their bite may be harmless but it sure did sting!
