SPIDER found on my door, Portugal

Salvaterra de Magos, Portugal

My stepfather found this spider on our doorstep, is there any chance that this little one is from a specific species?
Just asking because it has a white "cross" on her back that definitely caught my attention!

Thanks in advance!

Anyone know what kind of spider this is?

Diana's spider is Araneus diadematus, the common European garden spider - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_garden_spider
