These little things are everywhere in our back yard. I'm sure it's something I should recognize, but I can't figure out what they are.

This appears to be a lace bug (family Tingidae) - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/lace_bugs_tingidae for some examples. They usually feed on the undersides of leaves, and in some species, the females exhibit maternal care (guarding) of their young...
