A different egg case?

This has developed on the outside of our home. If it is a good bug I don't want to disturb it. Can anyone help me out with some idea of what it might be. It is as round as a half dollar coin.

Looks like an egg case of Argiope aurantia, a very common orb weaver. Definitely beneficial...
