CLOSED: CLOSED: Can someone help me identify this spider

Leeds, United Kingdom

This spider ran across the living room at me earlier it scared me to death as its huge I can't decide whether it's a common house spider or a hobo spider I'm thinking more hobo spider because of the markings on it's back and its hairy legs but I'm no expert here's a couple of pictures

This far more likely a common house spider, Eratigena (formerly Tegenaria) atrica - see http://www.uksafari.com/housespiders.htm

The so-called hobo spider (Eratigena agrestis) primarily is a spider of fields and meadows that apparently seldom invades houses, at least in Britain. Also, color pattern and leg hairs are not good identifying features - see http://www.burkemuseum.org/spidermyth/myths/hobo.html and http://pep.wsu.edu/pdf/PLS116_1.pdf

Thank you it's dead now anyway
