Large moth spotted in August 2014 in Northern Alabama near the Tennessee border. Some type of Sphinx moth?
Moth ID needed
Not a sphinx moth but appears to be one of the underwings in the genus Catocala of the family Noctuidae...
Maybe Catocala violenta.
