Termites ?

Can someone tell me if this looks like termites to you

This appears caused by something other than termites, as the only termites that characteristically eject fecal pellets (frass) from their burrows are drywood termites, and these are not native to Maryland. Mud tubes on/in your structure (see http://www.termites.com/identification/image-gallery/termite-tubes-photos/ for some examples) would indicate that you had an infestation of subterranean termites.

The pass pro people in our area tell us that it's termites and they need $800 to treat them. Just wondering if were getting scam because were in the process of selling our house and they're doing the termite inspection

If termites are indeed there, the control people should be able to show you some - at least by using bait blocks or by showing you actual damage and not just frass. Many years ago when I was stationed in the army and living near Frederick, MD, termites were detected near our house under a bale of straw on the ground near the house that had been left there for several weeks.
