This insect has been hanging around for a while. In fact, I think there are several. One of them has white markings on it's "tail". This picture is of a larger one. I at first thought it was a wasp, but it isn't aggressive and seems to fly away after a while. It is extremely attracted to my deck lights, siding, and wiring in the siding for the lights. It actually sometimes crawls in the lightbulb socket and stays there for quite some time. I am really hoping someone can help me identify what this is. If it is a wasp I need to get that taken care of I have two kids under the age of 3 that play on my deck! Thank you in advance for any input on this.
