Hi kindly let me know the name of this insect ! I had seen this in South India. There was something in the small nest moving . This insect injected something into the nest with its stinger in the back side and flew away .

This is a parasitic wasp, likely an ichneumonid - the 'nest' is a moth cocoon with a pupa inside, the wasp just laid an egg in the pupa, where the wasp's larva will develop...
