CLOSED: Egg on a string??

North Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

What is this going to hatch to become? Is going to be good insect or bad for my Bell Pepper plants where I found them?

Thanks, Diane

By the way, What's up with that Lady Beetle larva?

Just curious as to the difference between cropped and uncropped photos.
Also, have to remember to always check FIRST to see if the "upload photo" button is available or not.

The lady beetle is eating the aphids. As to the egg, I've seen it before but can't remember what it is.

The egg looks somewhat like that of a lacewing (beneficial predator), but those usually occur in groups -

I too have been finding the "egg on a string" in singles on my outdoor plants this summer. Was wondering what they were!

The "egg on a string" is definitely a lacewing egg, probably from one of the Green Lacewings, family Chrysopidae": http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/showimage/8703/
