I have a white flowering crepe myrtle and the leaves are turning red! I have no idea what's wrong with it! It's not fall yet so I'm clueless. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
help! my crepe myrtle turning red
that is just what they do
My guess is that, after a month of no rain and temps in the upper 90s, it's leaves are turning and some will drop as a coping mechanism. I looked up your weather on wunderground.com and other than a decent rain recently, it looks like your area has been dry since mid July. My parents live in Phoenix and have a crape myrtle as well. Even though theirs is on irrigation, it generally starts to look like crap as summer drones on.
