Recently I've began researching bamboo crafting as a hobby. I would like to know what type of bamboo i can grow that would be suitable for any project from furniture to smaller structures. I don't mind growing multiple types as long as I dont use running bamboo.

Please be careful about planting any type of bamboo in open ground. It should be planted in containers or a very contained area.
Yes, do not get the running type bamboo unless you grow it in some kind of permanent barrier. Clumping bamboo would be the choice to use (Fargesia is one such type).
