Problem adding a new entry under a category

Another problem I just noticed today, but not previously. When I add a new item within a category, the category ends up being blank. Luckily I noticed this right away as it was difficult to locate the item after saving it. After adding the new item, I now have to select "Move to another category" for it to appear properly. Example:

Journal: Viewing entry: test new entry

Common name: test new entry (377598)

Journal: Sallie's Garden 2014
Category:
Status: Info
