Caterpillar ID?

I'm living in Japan in the Yamanashi prefecture and I found three of these guys outside my door today. I'd like to know what they are and if they might be poisonous (they sure as hell look like it!)

Any kind of help would be wonderful!

To me it looks like an Indian fritillary caterpillar. Look it up and see if it coincides!
