I don't have a picture of the spider but I found it in my Banana Trees (Ft Lauderdale FL) over the weekend. According to the identification pictures on the internet, it's a Titusvile Surfer. It's medium sized, not real social and has very heavy silk webbing (I keep walking through it by accident). My question is whether or not this spider is poisonous. I didn't want to kill it (I don't kill any of them anymore) but in the very likely event I run into it again, it would be nice to know what to expect if it bites me.
Does anyone have a clue? Thanks!

Might be a golden silk spider in the genus Nephila - bite is not dangerous...

That image is of an orb weaver in the genus Eriophora, also harmless to humans....
Very good to know. Thank you! I still do not want it crawling on me though.
