I live in coastal Maine and found this spider in a planter on my front porch. I have done some research and can't seem to find anything quite like it. Facebook friends think it is a jewel spider (I'm not convinced) and another said it is a gea heptagon? Still not sold, but definitely similar. Help!
Looks more like a star-bellied orb weaver, Acanthepeira stellata
