I don't think this is a Pin or Scarlett Oak, the leaves are too sharp and there's no pubescents on the leaves. I can't get a bead on it. This and all subsequent pics are from Bridgewater State University.
Giant oak With Thinnish Leaves
I think that tree has definitely has Pin Oak parentage, but likely is a hybrid of one of more members of the Red Oak group of oaks.
Unless you visit this tree again and collect acorns, that is probably as close as you will get to an identity - unless you have a pocket DNA kit...
