What caterpillar is this?

He curled up in a ball before I could get a good photo of him. His body was mostly reddish brown, and then thin black stripes on the end. Anyone know what he is? He was long, thick, and very furry!!

Think it is one of the Tiger Moths, but can't say which one.

I agree--looks like one of the Tiger moth species. I wonder which one?
