Hi, I looked at my daylilies today & I have some of the plain orange ones and noticed that I have a couple of some that looked like they might have mixed with another pink daylily I have in there with them. Here is some pics. Is that what happened. I think they are beautiful.
Did my daylily cross with another one?
If you allowed a seedling to emerge and thrive then you had a cross. Otherwise it could be a sport--an offshoot that takes on a different nature.
Ok, thanks cottelpg. I don't think I did anything to them after they bloomed so maybe it is a cross.
That's lovely! I wonder if it will come back again next year?
I don't know but I hope so. There are two of them. :)
