Unknown beetle on mt. mint.
CLOSED: Unknown beetle
This looks like Macrosiagon limbata, a wedge-shaped beetle (family Rhipiphoridae) - http://www.flickr.com/photos/shog/5944917372/
Nice find!
Thank you Flapdoodle! All my many recent photos posted on this forum were taken of insects on my clump of Narrow-leaved Mt. Mint, Pycnanthemum tenuifolium. For those who want to attract a large selection of pollinators, this is a good plant to start with.
