Little guy can poke his head out on either end, what is he?

Taichung, Taiwan

So I spotted this little bug in Taiwan at my grandparent's house.
I've noticed these bugs there ever since I was little. I originally assumed they were poops left by something. The geckos always pooped all over the walls, so why not something else? lol Lots of things lurk in this house.
These bugs are usually on ceiling and walls and most numerous in the corners of the bathroom, but a few can be found in every room of the house. I think this guy accidentally fell on the floor because I RARELY see them move and it was squirming away. I can't recall ever seeing one on the floor until today either. The way they move kind of looks like being pulled by a string or being moved by a gentle wind. It's not a graceful squirm, but the strangest part is, if it wants to turn around, it just pokes it's head out the other end and squirms in that direction. In the first photo I posted, its head is retracted. It was shy so whenever I moved it would hide its head and stay still. The one in the second photo, is just one of many just hanging around the bathroom. I'd post a photos of the clusters of them, but the ceiling is too high.

I think they use something stringy and sticky from their heads to hang from the ceiling and walls, kind of like spider silk.

I also took a video, maybe I'll Youtube it if I have no luck here.
