I found two of these in my house (Taos, northern NM), one under a rug and another under the sofa while cleaning today.
It looks like a funny crossing between a spider and a bee. They tried to run away and hide very quickly, seem to be shy and non-aggressive.
Can anyone tell what it is? Is it poisonous?

So not poisonous, but can bite. Nocturnal, that's why they hide. But catching them with a glass and putting them outside as I did, seems the right strategy.
