CLOSED: Is this spider dangerous?

El Prado, NM

Hi, I live in Taos, northern New Mexico, and yesterday night this spider was running over my carpet. When I catched it with a glass it turned very aggressive and jumpy; you can see how it lifts it's forelegs in a menacing gesture and it seems to have big fangs.
Can anyone tell me what it is and if it is dangerous?

We call them Sand Puppies but I don't know the Latin.

Relative of spiders and scorpions in the order Solfugae, go by many different common names - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solifugae

Thank you very much, that really helped! Though it's not poisonous, it's a bit of a scary bug, and now I understand whay it was so "active". But being a Scorpio myself, I've much firendlier feelings for it now :-)
Thanks for you help!
