CLOSED: Is this a carrion beetle?

I came across this type of beetle eating rotting food on the forest floor. It was an 1" across and there were many of them but they all began to move away as I got closer. Can anyone tell me what this bug is?

Thanks Flapdoodle♥ I found out what it was and closed the thread. I should have posted the name. I found them in my forest garden eating some dead turkey. They moved away as I got close but I managed to capture a few on camera. The ones with the yellow markings close to the head were at least 1" across. I love nature. How have you been?
