This tree is about 5 years old-10' tall. It is getting crispy leaves on mostly the west side--I have tried bending branches and they are not brittle. There may be some wind damage but the affected side is not where the prevailing wind blows. I am stumped- no new fertilizers or chemicals--it gets watered along with the lawn with underground sprinklers. Daes anyone have any suggestions? I have looked for lesions or insect holes- nothing that I can see.
My Japenese Maple has a problem
What's the sun exposure? - as you probably know, they like protection against hot afternoon sun.
They get some afternoon shade- but my 3rd one gets sun all day long and is totally happy- go figure!
