Over the past two days something has been eating the entire leaves off my morning glories, leaving just only stems. I have looked for slugs, and cut worms, but have found nothing. There is a line of grass on the other side of the fence from the glories. Some other plants have started to have a few small wholes in their leaves, other glories and peas. What do you think?
Something eating my morning glories.
There's got to be a caterpillar around somewhere. Those little buggers are green and very hard to spot. I'd spray the entire plant at dusk with Bonide's Capt Jack's Deadbug Brew. You should only spray it at dusk so that there is no risk to any bees that might be frequenting your plant. It is harmless to them when it's dry. That should take care of anything that is bothering your morning glory.
I'm having trouble with my morning glories getting eaten also. Whatever it is, it's eating only the stem, and looks like the root also. I have never had any problems like this before, and I plant morning glories, and moonflowers every year. It looks like someone just cut the main stem a few inches from the ground, and my morning glories have been in the ground since Memorial day weekend, and I've had flowers for the last few weeks! Whatever it is, it's also eating a plant I think is called Indian cucumber, or wild cucumber.
