What type of spider is this?

I live in Indiana and I found this spider on my back porch. What type is it? Is it posinous?

It's an orb weaver in the genus Larinioides - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/102493591 for an example. Like the vast majority of spiders, it has venom glands and thus technically is venomous, but it is harmless to humans. See the 'sticky' on spider bites at the top of this forum.
